Heneghan Peng architects is an Irish architecture firm. The company was established in New York in 1999 but relocated to Dublin in 2001. It was founded by Roisin Heneghan and Shi Fu Peng.

Although a small firm, it has won some significant commissions, including the Grand Museum of Egypt,[1][2] Aras Chill Dara in Kildare, Ireland, the Giant's Causeway Visitor Centre and new footbridges at the London Olympic park.[3][4] To win the Egyptian Grand Museum, the firm won a design competition with 1557 entries, despite having only five staff members at the time. The firm now has 34 members of staff.[5]

Roisin Heneghan addressed the 2007 RIBA conference in Paris together with Tony McLaughlin from Buro Happold, on the topic of the ongoing collaboration between the two firms and the design of the Egyptian Grand Museum.[6]

In 2009 the company won three competitions: for the Araabsati headquarters in Saudi Arabia[7] and the Mittelrheinbruecke competition to build a bridge over the Rhine between St.Goar and Goarshausen in Germany,[8] and the competition to build a faculty building and library for the University of Greenwich's Department of Architecture and Construction in London.[9]

Awards

The Aras Chill Dara project in Kildare, one of the firms few completed projects, won a 2006 RIBA European Award.[10]
